It's only Tuesday?

Holly molly. What a crazy few days. For nearly a week I've been re-working a promo package that was created a few years ago by a marketing firm. The original package cost 6 thousand dollars and when the bosses went back to get it updated, they wanted another 4 grand. So, they ask me if I could do anything with it and I said "Sure, I can try!". So I started typing, editing, scanning, proofing, placing, editing photographs. This would all be fine and dandy if I had a decent computer here but the truth be told, the computer I use at work is ancient. It's slow and my final package - all 54MG of it, was nearly impossible to work with. To boot, I had to do all of the photo editing at home because I don't have the software of PC power to do it here. I finally had a proof printed yesterday. Came back this morning and bloody thing looks wicked. I've since made some minor changes and it's finally gone off for print. What a nightmare this turned into though. There's no burner on this bloody PC and I had a hell of a time getting this into a manageable size. The final product ended up being uploaded to my personal website and downloaded onto my laptop. I'm glad this is done with for now. I can't take another day of working on this thing though to be honest, I love working on things like this. I think that's why I loved my old job so much. I did stuff like this all the time.

The boss lady spoke to me this morning about Friday. She asked me if the temp agency would pay for the day and I said no (no work=no pay according to the agency - regardless of the reason). She said she wanted to pay for my day. I told her not to because I don't want her to get into any trouble with the agency if they happen to find out (thought trust me, it wouldn't be from me!). She insists on paying though. I didn't argue with her any more. Plus, I'm not one to say no to money.

I went to see Mrs. Henderson Presents yesterday as part of my Oscar catch-up. I wasn't overly interested in seeing it but I'm sooo glad I did. What a fabulous little movie! Judy Dench is such a riot. Not to mention that her performance with Bob Hoskins is unforgettable. Totally witty and hilarious. I highly recommend it. It was thoroughly entertaining! :)

Tonight, I'm meeting up with a friend from school who emailed me yesterday. I'm looking forward to it. I haven't talked to him in a while.

And the holiday thing that I've started to add to the bottom of my posts is starting to get some comments! I discovered a calendar last week that lists all kinds of holidays including some I didn't know existed! Most are not national holidays but they're interesting none the less!

In Norway today the folks are celebrating the Birthday of King Harald V and in Bangladesh we have Ekushey Day (Martyr's Day)! Happy holidays everyone! :)
