Remembering Isaac Hayes

The soul brother died on Sunday.

Isaac Hayes is one of those performers I wish I'd seen in his hayday - rocking the house in style with his funk sounds in the 70's. The man was a legend, winning god knows how many Grammy's, 2 Emmys and an Oscar for his classic "Shaft" theme.

Though for years that was all I knew him from, later generations have come to know him as Chef in South Park and most notably, for sick yet catchy tune "Chocolate Salty Ball's". It's a bit odd when you hear the lyrics coming from the mouth of a sweet talker like Hayes.

Still, the man was a legend and one I have fond memories of. What better way to remember him than through music? We'll miss you man.
