I haven't died but I have sort of fallen off the blogging bandwagon. Not sure what it is but sometimes, I just can't figure out what exactly to write about and when I do have an idea, I don't get the time to actually write it down.
No excuse. It's just the way things have been lately.
What a good way to come back though.
Over the weekend, I bought myself a little something extra special. I mean, super duper special. I bought the special edition complete series DVD's for My So-Called Life, a show which was a favourite of mine when I was in highschool and one that still angers me when I think back to how great it was and how unceremoniously it was axed.
I curled up with the pilot last night and from the opening scene, I was instantly sucked back into Angela, Rickie and Rayanne's adventures through school life and to my own miserable existence those first few years of HS. Things did get better for me later, as I'm sure they would have for Angela but we never had a chance to live those moments with her. Not to mention, the show was canceled on one of the biggest cliffhangers in TV history.
I'm really looking forward to diving into this world again. Meeting all the friends again and re-living some of those oh so familiar situations.
Thanks to Shout! Factory for giving the series the DVD release it deserves. Be sure to head over there to check out a bunch of clips from the show.
