Words to live by eh? I just need more time. More time for reading, writing, going to school, watching movies, hanging out, meeting new people, talking, knitting, playing videogames going to concerts....the list is endless (did I say knitting?).
As if the vortex of my time is not yet taxed to capacity, I am now also taking up knitting (yes, that thing that old ladies and warboys used to do) and a have started my own dating service (thank you for your interest but I'm not taking any more clients at the moment however, if you are: male, single, breathing, living in Vancouver - that's the Canadian one not the one in Washington - have a job and are relatively "normal" [whatever that means] and you're looking for the girl of your dreams, drop me a line, I may have the woman for you....seriously. I'm TOTALLY SERIOUS.)
Yesterday I avoided class like the plague and headed out to my monthly gathering of readers. It was great fun with a fabulous turnout. To boot, we had a couple of Firefly flans (not a misspell either) show up (if you don't know what the hell I'm talking about, click on the link. Come onnnnnn do it! Do it! You know you want to! You won't be disappointed. Promise. [And even if you are you now know something you didn't know about before]) We stayed behind and I got my first lesson in knitting because I just HAVE to make my own Jayne's hat. Am I crazy? When the hell am I going to have time to knit myself a hat? I'm going to have to subtract the time in small incriments from a few things (maybe 10 mins from reading, 2 hrs from sleeping...)
Seriously, I had a great time and met some great new people. Oh and I also have some great pictures that a fellow group member took of us learning to knit. I look all goofy with my all too long and awkward (I had to look up the spelling on that strange word) needles. In the end, I dreamt on knitting and I got up this morning with a visual image and a need to knit.
BTW, the air is still stinky and gross. To the left there is a picture of the smoke blowing over the Lower Mainland. Notice how it goes on for a while? I've heard people say that they woke up to ash on their cars. And now (I was informed of this yesterday by a teacher friend) the schools are telling teachers to try to keep the kids inside during recess and lunch and to warn them, that if they do go outside, they are to take no large breaths and should not stay outside for longer than 10 minutes. Can you blame them?

I was actually impressed at how easy knitting is. Well...the basic stitch at least. I still have to learn how to purl(?) not even sure what that is...
