"Whoa, could Keanu Reeves' performance in the crime drama Street Kings convince skeptics the dude can act?"

That opening line comes care of a reporter over at Canoe and I must say, I think it's more than a little misguided. Has Kevin Williamson ever seen Reeves in anything else? I'll be the first to admit that he has his blank face moments but I'll argue, to my grave, that Reeves does have talent, when paired with the right material and director. How soon we forget My Own Private Idaho, Speed, Feeling Minnesota and YES, even The Devil's Advocate.

I would be surprised if Reeves ever managed an Oscar nod but that doesn't mean the guy can't act. Give me a break Williamson.
