Christmas in April

A few months ago, either before or during a recording of Before the Dawn, Shannon and I were talking about crafting and we chatted for a few minutes about knitting. I mentioned how once, a few years ago, a local knitter and our fearless Browncoat leader had taught me enough knitting that I managed to make myself a Jayne's hat. Project complete, I quickly forgot everything I'd learned and never went back to knitting. In our discussion, I mentioned that I'd seen a pattern for Rosalie's scarf, one that she wears the first time we see her in Twilight. I'd even gone as far as to speak to Serena about another knitting lesson to make myself the scarf but that never materialized further than an idea (and a quick chat with Serena at one of Browncoat hosted events).

Months passed, I forgot about the scarf and then yesterday, I got a package in the mail from Shannon. Excited, I ripped it open to find this inside:

Needless to say, I don't simply like it. I love it. For a moment, I pined for cold weather so that I could wear it but alas, though it's raining today, the weather in Vancouver has taken a turn for the mild and it's much to warm for a scarf but I did put it on for a few joyous minutes.

I was trying very hard not to grin like an idiot when I snapped that picture. It didn't really work out but you can see my excitement at the gift. It's was like Christmas in April! I'm sure hubby thought I was crazy, prancing around the house wearing a scarf. I don't care what the weather is like in June, I'm wearing this to the premiere of "Eclipse"!

Needless to say, thank you Shannon!

Hehe. I actually quite like Alice's fingerless gloves. Very cute. Though not sure I'm so much digging the colours. Maybe - when I have a break. lol
