I feel bad. I've been neglecting my blog. Not that stuff hasn't been happening, it's been a great few weeks of concerts, birthday celebrations and general fun but I've been so busy actually living life that writing about it has been left by the wayside.
I'm determined to get back in the groove of things but not for a few more weeks. You see, the Vancouver International Film Festival is about to kick off and I'm about to start drowning in movies. Two weeks of solid "things to watch in every spare moment" means not a lot of time for anything (or anyone) else. So, until my return in two weeks time (unless something happens between now and then that sparks an early return), I direct you to my Twitter account which is, and will continue to be, very active and, if you'r looking for VIFF coverage, you can do so at Row Three.
See you on the other side!

It's been a crazy few weeks and though nothing has gone badly, nothing has gone spectacularly well either. I'm in a bit of a funk this week that I hope disappears sooner rather than later. It may have something to do with the fact that the past few weeks have been less than stellar for film viewing and I'm feeling the drain. It's amazing how much not seeing great films affects my mood.
There were two major highlights this week. The first was a film I caught last night which I plan on writing about this weekend and the second was the emergence of a recent interview with Keanu Reeves from "Vogue Homme". It's a short but insigtful chat with the actor which only supports my continued love for the man. Someone was kind enough to transcribe the interview and you can read it here. To go with it, here's one of the photos from the article. I'll be posting a few more as the week progresses.
The vaults opened at 4PM last night and all hell broke loose at the office. As a result, I was stuck here until the ungodly time of 8PM (resulting in missing the recording of the Movie Club Podcast which REALLY rubbed me the wrong way). When I finally walked through the door at 9:30, I was tired, hungry, had a pounding headache. I was in bed by 10PM and this morning I still had a headache. Two Tylenol later I'm feeling a bit better but really not looking forward to class tonight. And I still have a podcast to edit before tomorrow. Plus I'm not feeling great.
I want to go home.
I've been in a bit of a daze at work the last few days. Not sure if it's lack of sleep, lack of motivation or some other sort of loss of interest but I really feel like I'm walking through the motions. I have a few things I could probably get done today so I don't have to do them tomorrow (since I'm off on Friday) but I can't be bothered to do any productive work today. Maybe if I get really bored of trying to kill time I'll actually get some of that filing done.
At least this evening will be fairly low key (recording a show) and tomorrow...not sure what to expect. Likely a bit busy around here and then with class we'll have to see if he hands back the midterms.
I feel like I need a nap right now.
Sorry for the lack of regular posting lately guys. It's been a bit crazy with life, school, work, the site and I just haven't had much time to do much of anything. Instead, I've just been posting odd tidbits of stuff as it comes up. Yes, I know all about Twitter but I can't be bothered with another account.
Life has been good though. Lots of good stuff going on and more planned for the weekend. D and I have decided we're going to go away for a weekend in August. Not sure where yet but if anyone has recommendations of places to go in driving distance of Vancouver, let me know. I was thinking maybe Seattle. Someone mentioned the music experience thing there was cool plus they have the Star Trek museum. We'll see.
As for my weird post about the T-Shirts yesterday...thanks to everyone who offered a hand! Samanthadelayed has ordered the shirt for me. I'm very excited! I hope it arrives before the movie! *evil grin*
As for the KFF bit, I know, I ran out of time on Friday to post it so this week, you get a special semi-mid week edition.
And if you want more...there's a bunch here.
