As per last year, the City of New Westminster is putting on a fireworks display to celebrate Canada's 142nd birthday with a fireworks display over the Fraser River.
Events are limited to just the fireworks. There will be on stage entertainment, community displays, family/children's games & BBQ, formal ceremony, and a family lunch and fun box auction, all of which is taking place at Queen's Park. These events kick off at 11:30 AM and run through to 3:30PM.
The fireworks display will start at 10PM. Fireworks will be set off from the tip of Port Royal on Queensborough.
Tomorrow's looking like a great day - I plan on making a stop into town after the North Shore Canada Day Parade to take int he fireworks!
