You may recall I mentioned something last week about a girls night out to see "Little Ashes". Let me tell you, it was a riot. I mean - crazy hysterical liquor induced riot of epic proportions.
The night started off at Shark Club with a few drinks and some food. Things were calm and collected until I brought out Pocket Edward - it was at this point that things got out of hand. Imagine it for a minute: a group of 10 grown women compromising the sanity of a Little E. He drank, he was in SoupAirCool's pants (no joke) and then he cheated on me with maliciousmandy1. It was hysterical and I'm sure the other patrons were happy to see us go.
I was a little reserved with the camera (mostly because I didn't know anyone and didn't feel all that comfortable putting anyone in a circumstance where they didn't want their pictures taken) but Mandy managed to get some awesome shots (not to mention she has a great rundown of the night). You an check out her update
here.
I had a fabulous time and look forward to doing it again soon. I can't wait for "New Moon" - I'm hoping we can pull together a big group to see a midnight screening...it would be beyond fabulous!
I just realized that you might not know who Pocket Edward is. Well, he's my *other* partner in crime and 'cause he's so awesome, he's always in my bag...ready for action. I've started documenting his adventures of Flickr so if you're interested in following him around, that's the place to do it.
However, Pocket Edward did make an appearance at a screening of "Moon" (which was very good - review coming to Row Three next week to tie in with the film's opening in Toronto and Vancouver on July 3rd) and I didn't snap any pictures but my bud Dale did and of course, I harassed him for the goods and he, being the super guy he is, complied. So Dale the Photo Dude gets ALL CREDIT for these totally awesome shots!
He'll probably have a few more awesome shots at Digital Doodles so stay tuned to that space for his review.
On to the show:
Here's the line. Obviously, we're the routy group bulging onto the middle of the sidewalk. We're a considerate bunch no? *grin*
I'll only post this one picture but I swear to you,
eldritch48 has eyes in the back of his head. He always seemed to find the camera!
The real fun started when we got inside the theater. Here's me with Pocket Edward. Don't we make a cute duo?
And that's when the comedy really kicked off. Pocket Edward make his rounds with all the other girls (while the boys laughed hysterically). Here he is making a return trip:
And of course, while Edward was travelling, I took another moment to Twitter. God I Twitter a lot.
All in all it was a great evening with great friends, hubby (who hides behind me in every picture. The nerve! *evil grin*), Pocket Edward and a fabulous movie!
And huge huge thanks to
Mongrel for the tickets to the show!
The moral here: gather a group of friends and go see "Moon" on July 3rd!
