It all started with an email.
Fellow movie writer Kurt sent around an email last week with a link to a You Tube video with the subject line "The Electric Jesus! Tesla is my Main Man!" Being a Tesla fan but not having the time to watch the video, I set it aside for when I had a little extra time which happened to be last nigh. All I can say is, you've got to see this for yourself. It's called "Drunk History: Nikola Tesla" and it stars Crispin Glover as Edison and Crispin Glover as Edison. I could do without the clips of the drunk guy (warning: there's vulgarity and a moment when he pukes on camera (at 5:02 for 2 or 3 seconds) but otherwise, this is sheer genius.
A little digging has uncovered a whole series of these videos featuring a whole bunch of other comedic stars including Jack Black and Danny McBride. You can check out all of the videos on their You Tube Channel.

OK. Maybe.
I'm not a huge Weird Al fan but when Miss604 mentioned that Al's "White & Nerdy" had just come up in shuffle, I thought I'd check out the tune. I don't find it particularly hysterical though it is fairly amusing. Most of the references are a little boring but I love the bit at the 2:30 mark. I giggled uncontrollably at seeing that.
So here's your pseudo Friday snicker:

I need this and I'm thinking you might appreciate it too. First heard on the Larry & Willy Show earlier this week and now discovered on You Tube. Enjoy!

Oh dear. I'm going on a limb to assume that this is a take on some music video but considering I watch everything on-line and pop isn't really "my thing", I can't begin to guess what video this is based on. However, I do know that this cements Andy Samberg as one of my favourite funny people.
I was laughing so hard I had to cover my mouth. And here is the GREATNESS of "Jizz In My Pants":
This is pretty funny.
I was checking out the newest news from TED when I discovered this little story.
During the BBC World Debate last month, which was hosted by TED, someone, presumably a heckler, stood up from the crowd and started talking loudly. Turns out it was Robin Williams and the comedian took over the stage, stopping the debate for a full eight minutes of laughter.
BBC caught the entire thing on video and they've posted three minutes of the impromptu stand-up. I'm surprised that it's not quite as funny as I had hoped for but Williams does take a few shots at himself and then goes on to take a few at technology. My favourite of the bunch is (paraphrase) "You walk into Google and you have have is a computer and an exercise ball. I think that's how they're hatching new employees."
I want more of Robin Williams doing stand-up. It's better than seeing him in crappy movies.
